The file is only one part of the brief
A printable file describes geometry, but it does not necessarily explain the intended physical size, quantity, use, color, finish expectations or deadline. Include that context with the upload.

Confirm units and target dimensions
STL files do not inherently carry reliable unit information in the same way as some CAD formats. State the intended dimensions so scale is not inferred incorrectly.

Explain what the object must do
A visual prototype and a load-bearing bracket may need different material and print decisions even if both files are technically printable. Intended use helps prevent inappropriate assumptions.

Expect a model check
Meshes can contain holes, intersecting shells, extremely thin features or details that are difficult to manufacture at the requested size. A quote may therefore include questions or file-preparation work.
